Free Travel Video Internet Community TravelerVideos.com Launches with Video Contest
Travelervideos.com, the first free travel video community and directory on the Internet devoted exclusively to travel, provides a place to store and share travel videos along with detailed information about each destination. It is also the largest member-organized travel video directory on the Internet.
"Travelervideos.com is the leading travel site on the web for sharing travel videos, blogs, photos and useful web links," said Steven Hall, founder. "It is the only site where travelers can comfortably share travel and vacation videos. Using a filtered environment, friends and family can link directly to each other's video travelogues, watch travel videos, view vacation photos and links and leave comments."
In addition to being a free travel video community, TravelerVideos.com features the largest member organized travel video directory on the Internet. Currently, it has over 5,000 video links added by its members from over 200 different sites. All of the videos in the directory are user rated based on factual content, usefulness and video quality.
Travelervideos.com is launching with a travel video contest. Video submissions must serve as a travel guide to some location on the planet; be between one and five minutes in length; and be submitted between November 1 and Jan 29, 2007. Travel video entries will be judged on three criteria: usefulness, factual content and quality. First place receives $300, second place $200 and third $100. "You don't have to go on a Caribbean cruise or visit some exotic vacation destination to shoot your video," said Hall. "You can submit a video about a favorite local landmark. "Whether your travel video is shot in Asia, China, Europe or Mexico is not important. The main goal is to share your experiences with a specific location in a way that will help other people make their travel decisions," according to Hall.
