NFL’s Terrell Buckley to Host Celebrity Golf Weekend in Jamaica

New York, N.Y.  March 22, 2005 -- NFL defensive All Star Terrell Buckley has invited celebrities from sports and entertainment to the Terrell Buckley Celebrity Golf Weekend at the Ritz-Carlton Jamaica, April 15-17.

Black celebrities and white celebrities, including Michael Jordan, Angela Bassett and Tanika Ray, will join T-Buck for the celebrity golf tournament and fund-raiser.

T-Buck, who played football for the New England Patriots in the 2002 Super Bowl and for the New York Jets last season, has promised appearances by a host of athletes and entertainers in Jamaica. The Florida State University Hall of Famer also hinted at making a stunning announcement relating to his future sports career while in Jamaica.

The celebrities will join T-Buck at the White Witch Golf Course in Jamaica for mixing and mingling with fans, golfing, and reggae-dancing while benefiting Jamaica’s youth.

The Terrell Buckley Celebrity Golf Weekend at the famed Ritz-Carlton Golf and Spa Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica, will raise funds for the Mustard Seed Communities. The non-profit organization cares for babies and children with disabilities, including in the community of Kingston, Jamaica.

The weekend’s events will include a “Back Nine” after-party cocktail mixer with award presentation and a Jamaican beach party on the shores of the Caribbean. Other celebrities who have confirmed their attendance include the Miami Heat’s Shaquille O'Neal, NFL players Derrick Brook, Marshall Faulk and comedian Tommy Davidson, actors Vivica Fox, Malik Yoba, Orlando Bloom and Scott Bailey.

The cost for the all-inclusive package is $4,000 and includes two round-trip airfares on Air Jamaica, accommodations at the Ritz-Carlton for two, all meals, beverages, taxes, gratuities, airport transfers in Jamaica for two and two rounds of golf on April 16. A third person in the room is available for and additional $1,900.
