Cruise the Gulf of Alaska: Explore the wilderness of a Alaska without roughing it as you enjoy 5-star luxury cruise aboard the Carnival Spirit from August 25-September 1, 2004. You will cruise through Alaska’s Glacier Route with stops along the way panning for gold, walking on a glacier and eating the most delicious salmon. Sites include the Inside Passage, Yukon Territory, Lynn Canal, Prince William Sound and College Fjord. Cost of cruise is $833*.
Explore Utah’s Canyonlands: From Sept. 18-24, mountain types will head to Utah’s Canyonlands, a vast, unspoiled landscape of majestic rocks and colorful canyons. From a base at the spectacular Red Cliffs Lodge, they’ll try their hands (and feet) at canyoneering, whitewater rafting, hiking and mountain biking; no experience necessary. Cost of Utah Canyonlands’ trip is $1,995.
