Supply Chain Resources Group Introduces Daily Pool Distribution Service Between Chicago

Supply Chain Resources Group of Carol Stream, IL, today announced the acquisition of an additional storage and distribution facility in Newark, New Jersey and a new pool distribution service between their Carol Stream, Illinois warehouse and New Jersey. Daily pool distributions will serve the entire Midwest and North East regions of the United States. Both the New Jersey and Illinois facilities are food grade and have specialized material handling equipment.

According to Joe Sorrentino, president of Supply Chain Resources Group, “There is significant demand in the Midwest to East Coast shipping corridor. Consolidation into pool runs can reduce client LTL costs 25-30% and help reduce claims and increase cycle time.” Sorrentino adds, “If a company doesn’t have enough volume to warrant direct truckloads, SCR Group has the capability to combine their freight with other warehouse customers to offer them the same benefits as our clients who deliver full truckloads direct to our facilities, while insuring shipment integrity.”

SCR Group’s Illinois and New Jersey facilities each have over twenty dock doors which increase speed of delivery. Both facilities are also equipped with straight trucks, lift gates and cargo vans. Clients can also track their shipments through the Internet 24/7.
