BNSF Logistics Makes Strategic Acquisition

BNSF Logistics, LLC, today acquired Rite Choice Transport, a Roland, Oklahoma third-party logistics (3PL) company that specializes in serving the perishables and refrigerated market. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Rite Choice will be operated as a unit within BNSF Logistics’ Transportation Execution Services (TES) business, which serves customers from coast-to-coast.

Penny Wright, one of the former owners of Rite Choice, joins BNSF Logistics as Manager of Operations, reporting to Mica Jordon, Director of TES, South. Eric Wolfe, Vice President and General Manager, BNSF Logistics, said, “The acquisition of Rite-Choice further demonstrates our commitment to align BNSF Logistics with what our customers are demanding. We are pleased to add Rite Choice’s experience in the perishables and refrigerated market to our service offerings.”

BNSF Logistics, which is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation (BNSF) (NYSE: BNI), provides customers with a comprehensive set of supply chain solutions ranging from management and execution of single shipment transactions to daily management of complex distribution and sourcing networks.
