A Different Trip to the City Different

What makes a great destination for women? Adventurous Wench has an answer. Start with natural beauty, since market research shows 91% of women go for gorgeous scenery. Include good shopping, with style, art, and unique items. Make it safe and peaceful, and mix in some great food, too.

What fits the bill? Santa Fe, New Mexico, “The City Different”.
* Landscapes that inspired Georgia O’Keeffe's masterpieces
* Santa Fe style, and the nation's 3rd largest art market
* #1 for peacefulness in Travel+Leisure’s April 2004 survey
* One of the country’s most distinctive and innovative cuisines

Adventurous Wench is launching a new women-only trip to Santa Fe & Taos. Founder Deanna Keahey said “This is a walking trip with much more. There’s plenty of hiking, historical and cultural sites, and we also offer other ways to enjoy the area.” Do you want to raft the rapids of the Rio Grande? Be pampered with a massage at a luxurious spa? Not only do guests dine at top-notch restaurants, but there’s a southwestern cooking class available, too. “Women have different interests, so we let each guest customize the trip with options to suit her.”

Women, both locals and visitors, love the area. Artist Jeanne Halsey from Las Comadres cooperative in Taos said the area “attracts some very strong, talented and independent women. The art scene is a welcoming one, and the area encourages internal journeys of transformation. Idiosyncrasies are embraced.” Melissa Padgett, a visitor from Greenbrae, CA, said “the natural beauty is awesome and inspiring, and the mix of cultures makes for a friendly, welcoming population, with great food.”

Adventurous Wench’s Santa Fe & Taos trip is June 13-17, with a second departure in September. The trip is geared to active women 30’s to 60’s, who are out to have fun. “Persnickety grouches should go somewhere else”, says Keahey. The package price includes accommodations, land transportation, guides, entry fees, activities, and all meals except one, for $1695. To launch this new trip, the company is offering a 10% discount to everyone who travels on the June trip.

Adventurous Wench helps women explore new places on fun, active vacations. Guests enjoy outdoor activities in gorgeous locations, sleep in comfy hotels, dine at fabulous restaurants, and enjoy special touches just for women.
