Airlines Continue Road to Recovery

The face of the travel industry was forever changed on September 11th, 2001. Airlines have laid a large share of the blame for their financial challenges on the events of that day. As a result, many have become more creative with their frequent flyer programs in order to compete with the smaller, discount airlines that have come into the market. This proliferation of new airlines and the complex rules that govern the usage of frequent flyer miles have created a definite challenge for the average person who desires to travel, but has a limited income on which to do so. What is needed is a travel guide to assist us through this hazy maze of confusion. Author Howard Poppel has made it his mission to be that travel guide and to educate each one of us on how to realize our dreams of luxurious vacations on a shoestring budget.

In his new book, “How to Travel for Next to Nothing – The Ultimate, Unique and Most Comprehensive Guide for the Travel Enthusiast,” Mr. Poppel incorporates his vast experience in discount travel and gives us the inside tips on how to comfortably see the world for less. Mr. Poppel has condensed his popular college level course into a reader-friendly book that will appeal to those of us who dream of taking amazing vacations, but don’t have the disposable income to do so. Included in this well-written book are places to find unadvertised specials and dollar-stretching memberships for both the domestic and international travel enthusiast who wants to see more and spend less.

“How to Travel for Next to Nothing” includes tips on how to utilize every available form of travel, hundreds of web sites and phone numbers, and numerous travel definitions to help the reader understand the various options that are available. In the author’s own words, “This book contains researched, tested tips and strategies that are meant to provide you with the best and least expensive vacation, limited only by your imagination.” If you are yearning to experience foreign lands and distant sunsets, this book can take you there for less. It is published by American Book Publishing and available at a discount online at the Publisher Direct Bookstore at http://www.pdbookstore.com.
