Las Vegas Haunted - 100 Years of Dazzle

With three books to her credit, Nevada author, Janice Oberding knows her history and her ghosts. Oberding who is recognized as an authority on Nevada's ghosts and haunts, occasionally acts as a consultant for television documentary film makers. She has long researched and written on the subjects of hauntings and history and claims they are connected. In October the author will release Las Vegas Haunted: 100 Years of Dazzle, her latest offering on the subject of Nevada's ghostly inhabitants.

Think famous and infamous; Bugsy and Liberace and any number of others who've helped to make Las Vegas what it is today."I don't write about ghosts exclusively. It's not just about ghosts, or who is haunting what. I want my readers to feel, and to know what a place is all about. For that you've got to include history."

"And history," Oberding is quick to point out, "is never dull and boring. It's always about the people, people who've spent their lives in an area -- those who've lived and loved and died there. And when they die." She smiles. "Some of them return as ghosts."

Las Vegas Haunted: 100 Years of Dazzle is being published to coincide with Sin City's Centennial Birthday Celebrations.
