KFUO radio host Rev. Dr. Doug Nicely will be taking a tour to key Luther sites in Germany and Czech Republic. Tour includes meeting Lutheran Church Leaders in Dresden (where the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod originated from)Wittenberg, Berlin and Prague.
Rev. Dr. Doug Nicely, is known to many as long-time radio host of KFUO's "Do you have a minute" and "In His Steps". Doug is also Chief Chaplain at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL, and former pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church in Fairview Heights, IL.
This tour is uniquely designed for members of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. Not only will they see famous Luther sites in Worms, Eisenach, Erfurt, Eisleben, Fulda and Wittenberg, such as the Wartburg Castle and the Castle Church where Martin Luther nailed the 95 Theses, but they'll also have the privilege of attending a service at LCMS founder C.F.W. Walther’s home church in Dresden.
The tour begins with a relaxing Rhine Cruise and includes the stunning cities of Berlin, Leipzig and Frankfurt as well as Jan Huss’ Prague in the Czech Republic. Opportunities include doing Christmas shopping early in Rothenburg, Heidelberg and at the famous Meissen factory in Dresden. Tour Highlights also include a Bach concert and a Sunday service in Leipzig with the St Thomas’ Choir, morning worship at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Worms plus meetings with LCMS staff.
