Gear up now for the 3rd Annual World's Largest Catsup Bottle Summerfest Birthday Party and Custom 'n' Classic Car 'n' Truck Show! This family-style street festival will be held on Main Street in downtown Collinsville, Illinois on Sunday, July 1, 2001. Music, food, & fun for everyone!
There will be plenty of old-fashioned party games for kids of all ages: Musical Chairs, Water Balloon Toss, Spin the Bottle, Hula Hoop Contest, Tangy Catsup Taste Test, Cake & Ice Cream, and much much more!
We’ll also have the area’s largest Custom & Classic Car & Truck Show, as well as attendance prizes, live music, food and fantastic family fun! Festivities start early and end with a special downtown, hometown, lazy-Sunday-afternoon closing ceremonial Parade of Cars at 5:00 pm and a band concert at 6:30 pm.
Help celebrate the 52nd anniversary of the world-famous Brooks Catsup Bottle water tower. What could be better than a red, white & blue 4th of July weekend party for this incredible example of 20th century roadside America? A nation-wide, grassroots community effort saved this landmark from demolition and restored it to its original glory in 1995.
Everyone is invited and urged to get involved! This event is presented by Pieces of History Auto Club and the Illinois Main Street office of Downtown Collinsville, Inc.
