Predator Ridge Accepts Offer From Wesbild

Predator Ridge announces today that it has received and accepted an unsolicited offer from Wesbild Holdings Ltd. to acquire the assets and operations of Predator Ridge Golf Club Ltd. and Predator Ridge Development Ltd. for an undisclosed price.

Predator Ridge is excited to announce that Wesbild intends to commence planning the much anticipated fourth nine holes of golf this fall with the construction to begin in 2008. These golf holes will feature outstanding views of Lake Okanagan and dramatic elevation changes will be sure to enhance the golf experience for everyone at Predator Ridge.

"We think this is an event that will be a win for all stakeholders at Predator Ridge," says Dave Paterson, General Manager of Predator Ridge Golf Club Ltd. "Wesbild brings the resources to continue to expand the golf courses and build new amenities, as well as the commitment to continue to provide great service to our residents, members and guests. They have been recognized by BC Business Magazine and Watson Wyatt as one of the Top Ten Employers to work for in BC. This is a very positive development for the resort."

The two parties officially reached an agreement yesterday with a significant deposit paid to the current owners of the resort. The transaction is scheduled to complete on August 31, 2007. Senior managers have committed to continue working with Predator Ridge under the new ownership.

"Predator Ridge is a very special place," says Randy Zien, Wesbild President & CEO. "It is in a beautiful location, with beautiful homes framed by beautiful golf. It may be the best golf resort community in Canada and we love it. In addition, Predator Ridge has a history of excellence which we honour."

Predator Ridge is built on the rolling hillsides between Kalamalka and Okanagan Lakes. After opening for play in 1991, the resort has won awards for both the golf course and development. Known by savvy golfers as a place to challenge one's game in a beautiful setting, Predator Ridge was host to the Export A Skins Game in 2000 with Mike Weir, Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia and Fred Couples. That same year, the company launched its real estate development with building of 41 cottages lining the Peregrine Course.

Since that time, the golf course has won numerous accolades and is the only two-time winner of the BCPGA Facility of the Year. The development -- which includes a combination of single family homes, cottages, lodge condo suites and a variety of high quality amenities -- has also won its fair share of awards. Most recently, Predator Ridge took home the CHBA National SAM award for its Preston show home.
