For the second year in a row, Medical Solutions is offering a $5,000.00 credit with Cruise Planners Travel Agency to the nurse or allied health professional who refers the most healthcare professionals to Medical Solutions.

"We have been offering $500 referral bonuses to our traveling nurses for a long time; this is just an extension of that. So many of our travel nurses come to us as referrals, so we feel it's only natural to reward those nurses that do refer us to others," said Jeff Long, Marketing Manager, Medical Solutions. "This contest is one more way we can reach out and reward those travelers who have put their trust in us and recommended us to their friends and coworkers."

The 2006 contest was promising from an interest and response standpoint with large increases in referral numbers and was one of the main reasons Medical Solutions decided to hold another one in 2007. This year however, there are a few changes to the contest, the first of which is that the contest is running for a longer period of time, starting April 1, 2007, and ending December 31, 2007. The longer time period allows for more word of mouth about the contest to grow throughout the year.

The second change is that in this year's contest there is going to be more of an emphasis on the involvement of the Recruiters and Client Managers, which are responsible for developing relationships with nurses and techs and finding them allied health and travel nursing jobs. "Our internal staff understands that building and maintaining good personal and professional relationships with nurses and techs is very important to our success as a company. Referrals are the largest part of our business, which is a testament to the relationships we have with our employees," said Craig Meier, Director of Recruiting, Medical Solutions.

In addition to rewarding the nurses who work with them, Medical Solutions is also holding the contest to play their part in helping address an escalating nationwide nursing shortage. "We are excited to carry this contest into another year.
